"Everytime I hear that song, it means something else to me. It started out as a simple good-bye song probably just to a girl, but I see how it could be a goodbye to a kind of childhood. I really don't know. I think it's sufficiently complex and universal in its imagery that it could be almost anything you want it to be."~ Jim Morrison

Jim was in love with Pam Courson and was with her the entire course of the fame and follies..though he regularly had sex with groupies, she remained by his side.
In March of 1971 Jim and Pam flew to Paris and took an apartment

..he was often seen taking walks, he seemed to be improving himself, shaving his full beard, losing some of the extra pounds he had gained. Below some photos of Jim in Paris.

Jim passed away in his Paris apartment on July 3rd, 1971.He was 27. He was found in his bathtub. Because he was in France and laws differ...there was NEVER an autopsy, the medical examiner did say there was no evidence of foul play...but still, his death at 27, remains a mystery. His girlfriend, Pam died 4 years later...heroin overdose...

Jim is buried in Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris...
