Day 4 Animation

The Backwater Gospel....Produced at The Animation Workshop 2011....Eerie film that looks at a God Fearing Small town who know The Undertaker is on his way......really enjoyed this..

When I can I like to include a song or two that accommodates the theme of the day...first one to come to mind today is Don't Fear the Reaper By Blue Oyster Cult..it was first heard on their 1976 album Agents of Fortune..here is a cool little fan vid with lots of Grim Reaper art...

and here is a pretty damn good cover by HIM....

The Passenger continued....

I can't help but include one of my very favorite songs here also titled The Passenger By Iggy Pop. Originally released on the Lust for Life album in 1977..it's been covered many many times...Iggy's remains my fave..but I will post another that comes very close. 

Here the Iggy version is mated with classic movie scenes....from ALOT of great films.


My favorite cover version is by Siouxsie and the Banshees...it's just great and she does it justice in a big way

Day 1 Dark Animation.....Cartoons!!!

Today is Halloween/Samhain/Samhuinn/Sauin..however you like to call it...have a good one! It for me is a fun holiday where one can explore your scary side.....

This week I'm doing dark animation...cartoons are great and can be just as dark and macabre as any film.

This first one is called Skeleton Dance..fun Halloween short done by Disney in 1929..it is notable for being the first cartoon to use non-post-sync-sound.Enjoy!
